Class Description:   Looking through the Arch

This beautiful arch street scene will be built up in three stages.

1. Two initial washes laid down to establish the light and atmosphere, carefully preserving the whites for highlights.
2. Deeper tones will be applied to define shadows and add structure.
3. Building details will be suggested, allowing the looseness of the watercolour to capture the essence of the scene without overworking it.
