This watercolour painting course provides a rich and complete experience. Suitable for both beginners and experienced artists who want to improve their skills in painting beautiful natural landscapes. Over six classes, you'll explore a variety of landscapes, from tranquil skies to Australia's iconic flora. You will learn to bring your landscape to life with texture and atmosphere.
Each class is designed to build an understanding of watercolour techniques. It includes wet on wet, glazing, dry brushing, layering and guides you through the process of painting different aspects of nature, focusing on specific natural elements such as clouds, trees, wildflowers and meadows. You will be guided through the process of painting various aspects of nature - from the intricate textures of gumtree bark, to the soft, ethereal quality of a distant landscape with its trees and shrubs, and learn techniques to create depth, light, and shadow in your paintings.
At the end of the course you will develop a greater understanding of how to approach complex natural landscapes. Skilled at capturing everything from the rustling of grass in the breeze to the grandeur of a sunlit eucalyptus tree.
Classes include:
- Watercolour Painting: Skies and Fields – Focus on the soft, atmospheric skies as well as vibrant, textured fields.
- Watercolour Painting: Hay Bales in a Paddock – Techniques for painting the rural beauty of hay bales and wide countryside landscapes.
- Watercolour Painting: Wild Turnip and Patterson’s Curse in a Vibrant Landscape – Learn to paint wildflowers and the surrounding landscape in bright colours.

- Watercolour Painting: Distant Landscape with Trees and Bushes – Techniques for creating depth in detailed landscapes with an emphasis on trees, bushes, and atmospheric effects.
