Learn to enjoy Watercolour painting in a simple yet engaging space.

In this workshop, you will learn how to do three basic, but very important techniques when painting: Washes, Wet-in-Wet, and Brushwork. These three are among the most straightforward skills taught that are needed in watercolour painting and they are necessary in every stage of the creation process.

The exercises for the day are engaging and are done with the intention of teaching the skills in a comfortable manner. Each technique is practiced one by one so that there is confidence and control over each skill learned.

In order to make sure that these new skills are put to use, you will be rewarded with beautifully simple paintings. This workshop is ideal for learners because the greatest focus is on learning and experimenting with watercolours.

Roslyn Hartwig uses a step-by-step demonstration method in her classroom to guide students through the drawing process until they have completed their work. Courses often include exercises and visual 'play' to enhance learning and creativity. Her workshops promote a relaxed and fun environment that challenges you to practice the technical aspects of watercolor. Roslyn encourages students to embrace the learning curve, emphasizing that perfection is not expected when trying a new technique for the first time.
